These are remarkable facsimile copies of the original Pug dolls that the Duchess had in her bedroom and that were sold in the Duke & Duchess of Windsor Sotheby's auction in 1998, lots 2531-2534, The Private Collection (see photo below of the Duchess of Windsor's bedroom from page 261, The Private Collection, Sotheby's auction catalog). They are constructed identically to the ones the Duchess kept at the foot of her bed.



The Pug dog Dolls are made from medium weave, Italian muslin fabric. Stuffed with old fashioned (100% American made) cotton batting. The bottom has an acid free card board insert in order for the doll to stand. Bottom is whipped-stitched by hand.

These beautiful set of dolls are from Magnolia Creek (Encinitas, CA), and as with all items purchased from Magnolia Creek, they come with elegant complimentary wrap tied with dried flowers (see photo below).
