This unique, vintage musical jewelry box is in almost perfect condition inside and out. The box has antique gold lace braid trim on top edges, leg edges and both top and bottom lid opening edges. The box ix rococo style with curved legs and is stained antique gold all over. The top of the box is a hand-painted acrylic painting of the Duchess of Windsor's Latin Cross Charm Bracelet. The artist has signed the bottom of the box.
This wind up musical jewelry box plays "Fly Me to the Moon," written by songwriter Bart Howard in 1954 and made famous by Frank Sinatra, among others. The inside of the box is lined in red velvet and is in pristine condintion. The hinges have the original brass fittings. This is a unique vintage piece but made all the more special with the Duchess of Windsor's charm bracelet.
This one-of-kind work of art would make a beautiful decor accessory on top of a desk to store stationary or other office supplies.
