Ten Ink drawings by Palm Springs Artist, Sue Brucks, featuring select pieces of jewelry that belonged to the Duchess of Windsor. Perhaps one of the most important contributions and legacies that the Duchess of Windsor left the world, and one, that like many aspects about the Duchess, seems to be frequently overlooked, is the historic and legendary auction of her jewelry by Sotheby's in 1987. This auction captured the attention of the world and reaquainted the mainstream media with the astonishing and epic Windsor story. More importantly though is that the auction raised more than $45million for the benefit of AIDS and cancer research by the Duchess's designated beneficiary, the Pasteur Institute. Many people have criticized the Windsors for their lack of philanthropy, although this final act is certainly an atonement and worthy of remembrance and acknowledgment.
Included in the box of cards is an article about that sale and an overview of the Windsors collection of jewelry, with personal highlights and quotes from various sources, including Sir Henry "Chips" Channon and other contemporaries of the couple.
This box would make a perfect gift for the Windsor and non-Windsor afficionado alike. Each card is, in itself, a gift to share with the person you're sending correspondence as it educates and commemorates the incredible beauty and sophistication of the Windsors' jewelry collection.
Each box comes with 10 white vellum cards (5½" x 8½" folded) and matching envelopes (5¾" x 8¾").

The jewelry's designer and composition of gemstones and diamonds is revealed. In addition, the description on the back also provides the information regarding the Sotheby's 1987 sale, including final auction price, if applicable, as well as any new information about the item.
The drawings by Brucks are so realistic and reflect the magnificence of each piece and the color accents only make them even more life-like. Each ink drawing is signed by the artist.
