Ink and Water color painting by Palm Springs, CA artist, Sue Brucks, depicting the banner of the Prince of Wales Coat of Arms which hung in the Bois de Bolougne entrance of hall of the Windsors villa in Paris (see photo of the Sotheby's The Public Collection auction catalog, Lot #81, page 61, below).



This special painting was commissioned specifically to be used as the Cover art for the Special Collector's Limited Edition 2/2008 issue of The Duke & Duchess of Windsor Society Quarterly Journal (to view the issue click here)

The painting is pen and ink drawing on 90lb natural white watercolour paper made in France. To achieve the deep sienna, golds and greens, many layers of watercolor wash were applied.

The painting comes with gold frame, unmatted, which is similar to the way the Windsors paintings were framed in their homes (unmatted with gold frames).
